Why am I like this?
When am I going to become who I'm supposed to be?
Why does life feel so hard?
Will I ever get over it?
What is wrong with me?
If you find yourself asking questions like these, you're not alone. Almost everyone has times in their life when they feel stuck, lost, or afraid. If that's where you are at the moment, therapeutic counselling can help.
As a qualified counsellor, Justine specialises in trauma-informed therapy to adults who feel like they are struggling when they want to be thriving. In particular, Justine specialises in working with adults with ADHD, neurodivergent women, the LGBTQ community, survivors of sexual abuse, and people experiencing relationship difficulties, such as complex family dynamics or intergenerational trauma.
Justine’s style is affirming, gentle, and trauma-informed. Justine works using an integrative approach that has evolved from a person-centred foundation. This means I draw from different therapeutic modalities as needed. Whether that's a person-centred approach, somatic exercises, or something more structured like ADHD coaching or DBT skills, the work together will always be led by what feels right for you.
